The bridge

OLYMPUS was the first split deck yacht Van Lent ever built. This layout increases usable interior space. Technical and crew areas benefit from this arrangement, unusual in a yacht of her size.

OLYMPUS’ large bridge has raised guest seating for six on either side of the central chart table. The bridge wing control stations are equipped with Mannesmann Rexroth pneumatic main engine controls.

The ship’s office is aft of the bridge on the starboard side.

The engine

room and ECR

The ECR and engine room, both with excellent headroom, are well insulated from the starboard generator room housing three Caterpillar generators. The framing and plating of the engine room was extensively rebuilt in 2022. OLYMPUS is powered by two 2,600HP CAT 3516DI-TA engines and has a max. speed of 17.5 knots and a 4,000 nautical mile range at 11.5 knots. OLYMPUS has a Vosper Thornycroft stabilisers upgraded in 2023 to DMS zero speed stabiliser system.

Crew areas

OLYMPUS has generous crew quarters and excellent storage for a 55m yacht.

The well-equipped stainless- steel galley and adjoining pantry are on the main deck. Built using the same materials as the guest accommodations, the finish and quality of the crew areas are exceptional. The crew mess on the lower deck can seat the full crew complement. The laundry, foodstuff storage, fridge and freezer are located on the tank deck.
